Higher Education Support Programme (HESP)

Under this programme, bright and meritorious students from economically weaker families are supported to pursue higher studies. To help needy but meritorious students with financial aid to pursue their University level education and to offer opportunities of better exposure, self-development and widening of horizons of inter-disciplinary knowledge to help students with limited exposure due to their socio-economic or cultural background. Apart from the financial help, the students also avail of mentoring support as well as can participate in the seminars / workshops organized on topics that will help them widen their perspective of education and life. Swapath prioritizes children from the very vulnerable category but as such cases are rare at the University level, the programme also covers some very poor families from slums or lower-middle class neighbourhoods. In this programme, so far 1500+ students have been supported including 35 students in the last year after the pandemic eased out.
